i sure hope you have found some help by now! but just in case you haven't here's my 2 cents... you can make your own baby formula a lot healthier than the mass produced junk!

in the mean time, keep nursing all the time and pump as much as you can to stimulate milk production. here is a very good article on what to do about low milk supply...

i hope you can continue to breastfeed... i know from experience it's not always easy but it's well worth all the effort!

if i could i would use nothing but my breast milk but i'm having troubles producing enough for my premature newborn who was very juandice, his juandice is down, but so is his weight and i'm not making enough milk for him, the doctors want me to give him as much breast milk as i can, and formula, the milk based kind made him all cramped and constipated but so dose the soy.. :/ i'm a new mommy and pretty young so i feel extra lost, i just want my baby healthy..

Joel,

don't be so ignorant. You're reasoning is as sound and intelligent as saying 'I was shot in the head and survived, look at I'm fine!' Babies are fed formula too and are alive, doesn't mean it's a healthy choice.

Joel but you know that Soy it is a food not even intended for the male as it produces estrogen? But the point is.. soy or cow, it should NOT be given to a newborn/infant. IT'S BREASTMILK WAS IS BEST and tailored ONLY for the human babies. period.

This whole powerpoint on why soybased formula is bad is wrong. Im 27 years old and was raised with soybased formula and im 6'3" 225 pounds. I have always been a reaaly healthy person. As a matter a fact i had asthma as a baby and when switched to soybased formula was rid of asthma. Soybased is way better and im living proof.
