I've asked Dara Merin to teach this class having tasted several of
her desserts myself. She will teach five different desserts made with
Nourishing Traditional principles that include organic ingredients such
as fruit, nuts, chocolate, and dairy. They will all be lightly sweetened
with ingredients such as honey, maple syrup, molasses, rapadura, and
succunat. Most of the desserts will be made without flour.
These recipes, some of which come from Sally Fallon's Nourishing
Traditions and others from Dara's imagination, are all nutrient
dense and will be made with the highest quality ingredients! You may
enjoy each of the desserts during class or take them home for later.
ABOUT DARA MERIN
Dara grew up in New York City, where her lifelong passion for food
and cooking began. She has been an avid cook both professionally and
for friends and family for over fifteen years. She graduated from the
Culinary Institute of America in New York ten years ago, where she learned
foundational cooking skills, but has since become deeply committed to
organic, and local fare, and expanded her repertoire to include healthy
and traditional foods from an array of cultures. She has a vast knowledge
of local Bay Area farmers and food producers from working at the Ferry
Plaza Farmer's Markets and as "Forager" for Manka's Inverness
Lodge while living in Point Reyes in 2005. Dara's passions, aside from
cooking and playing in the kitchen, are studying nutrition, Western
Herbalism, and local and native plants. She sees food as a means for
healing the body and considers food as a tool to bring together community
and foster joyfulness. She currently cooks regular Shabbat dinners for
the Chochmat Halev community in Berkeley, a tradition which has become
a wonderful success.

B12: Difficulties and Obstacles in Diagnosing and Treating B12 Deficiency.
This outstanding lecture (plus Q&A) was given by Dr. Dommisse at
the Weston A. Price Foundation national conference in November 2005.
This is a fascinating and informative talk, covering his extensive research
into Vitamin B-12, one of the most misunderstood substances in recent
years. In the talk, he discuss the mental and physical consequences
of this deficiency, which at the present time is mostly undetected and

in Fresno, will be here to share all about their wonderful raw milk,
raw cream, raw butter, raw colostrum, and raw kefir and its incredible,

Vitamin B12: Difficulties and Obstacles in Diagnosing and Treating B12

at the Weston A. Price Foundation national conference in November 2005.
This is a fascinating and informative talk, covering his extensive research
into Vitamin B-12, one of the most misunderstood substances in recent
years. In the talk, he discuss the mental and physical consequences
of this deficiency, which at the present time is mostly undetected and
undertreated. John Dommisse, MD, is a physician in private practice
in Tucson, Arizona, who does phone consultations worldside. He has written
extensively on the role of vitamin B12 as it relates to neurological

Farm and Creamery at 5480 Thomas Rd Sebastepol 95472. Redwood Hill Farm,
a goat farm and creamery welcomes the WAPF to their family farm. Please
bring your family and tour the farm, play with the baby kids, learn
about cheesemaking, and of course, sample the complete line of delicious
yogurt and artisan farmstead cheeses. This will be a great opportunity
to meet new WAPF members, learn about the farm and share some great
