King Corn Film Screening and Lecture by Mike Tabor

version of the feature documentary, King Corn and a ten-minute animated
short film, The
True Cost of Food, plus commentary and discussion led by sustainable
fruit and vegetable farmer Mike Tabor will be held on Saturday, May
24, at 7pm at the Takoma Park Coop, 201 Ethan-Allen Avenue, Takoma Park,

Conquering Morbid Obesity with Farm Fresh Food

Richard Morris of Woodbridge, VA lost 150 lbs and his wife
lost 50 by ignoring dietary experts and returning to the foods their
grandparents enjoyed: eggs, bacon, whole milk, butter, and pasture-raised
meats. Richard is the author of A Life Unburdened, which chronicles
his struggle with, and victory over morbid obesity. Barnes and Noble
of Rockville is hosting a talk and book signing with Richard on Wednesday,
May 28 at 7:30pm. Admission is FREE. Refreshments --inspired by Richard’s
