Above: Male elk "Elkie" at four days old, from the Painted Rocks area of Ravalli County. The animal had three crooked legs and severe underbite jaw malocclusion, which prevented it from closing its mouth. Deformities were remedied with the administration of homeopathic cell salts. Elkie was normal when released in the fall of 1999.
Above: Elkie was normal at 1 1/2 years old, when killed by MDFWP for tests for chronic wasting disease. The tests were negative.
Above: Filly foal, born spring 2002, had a 15 mm underbite at birth and a 7 mm underbite at 2 days old when this photo was taken. The foal was given Calc. Phos. 6X and Bioplasma 2 times per day, morning and night, from birth.
