Transport     (Scroll down for accommodation options)

Sharing: Click Here for an open thread on our meetup group for people who want to share lifts and hotel rooms.

Driving: Close to M25 Junction 8 & 9. Plenty of free parking, including for motorhomes & caravans. The racecourse is clearly signposted on most major approach routes. Your destination is the Dutchess Stand at Epsom Downs Racecourse. Click here to download a map of the immediate area.

Rail: Rail times from nationalrail.co.uk and tfl.gov.uk Epsom Rail is a 5min taxi away with direct links to London Waterloo (35min), London Victoria (40min). Also Dorking, Guildford & Horsham. Tattenham Corner is a 10 minute walk with direct links from London Bridge (50min) & East Croydon, for Gatwick & Luton airports (30min), Click Here for the timetable from East Croydon to Tattenham Corner. Epsom Downs is closeby and serves London Victoria (45min), but pre-booked taxis are recommended and this rail station is closed Sundays, Click Here for timetable.

Bus: The racecourse is served by the 460 and 480 bus which serve the following rail stations: Epsom, Tattenham Corner, Tadworth, Reigate & Redhill, click here for the timetable.

Air: Helecopter landing available at request, no seriously! Gatwick: taxi costs circa £30. For train, head for Tattenham Corner, changing at East Croydon, then walk 10mins to racecourse. Alternatively, take a 10min train to Redhill, then the 460 Metrobus from Redhill to Tattenham Corner, click here for the 460 bus details. Heathrow: Taxi costs circa £40. Metrobus provide a very affordable bus, the X26 from Heathrow to Croydon, Sutton is the closest stop on that bus route, from where you can take a short taxi or train to Epsom or Tattenham Corner, click here for details of the X26 bus. Alternatively take the Picadilly Line to Victoria, and then a train to Epsom. Luton Airport: Take the Thameslink train from Luton to East Croydon, changing there for a train to Tattenham Corner. Stanstead: There are a number of routes through London, but I recommend taking the Stanstead Express to Tottenham Hale, Victoria Line to Victoria Station, then a train from Victoria to Epsom.
