Children's Health
Advance planning is critical for healthy, happy children.
One of Dr. Price’s most fascinating findings was the care with which so-called primitive people planned for pregnancy and nourished pregnant women, infants and growing children. All the cultures he visited had one or more sacred foods given to men and women before conception, to women during pregnancy and lactation and to children during growth. They recognized the need for abundant nutrition during the critical period when the fetus and child are being formed.
These foods were all rich in the fat-soluble activators (vitamins A, D and K) and included liver and other organ meats, butter from cows eating rapidly growing spring grass, fish liver and fish liver oils, raw milk, fish eggs and other seafood, and certain animal fats.
