VICFA Day, January 16th, 2007

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Last year, our first, we had a great turnout and our veterans will be on hand with this year’s newbies.

WHEN: Tuesday, January 16th, 2007, 9:00 – 12:30

WHERE: General Assembly Building, Richmond, 4th Floor West Conference Room

WHAT: Grassroots Lobbying and Legislative Brunch

WHY: So the legislators can meet Virginia’s small/sustainable producers and the consumers who depend on them and hear our message FOR small producers, AGAINST NAIS

Please call or email Ellen Ussery to provide food for the legislative brunch. 540.364.1877 ellenjill@earthlink.net

AGENDA:
9:00 – 9:30 Meet in 4th Floor West Conference Room, hand out Talking Points for lobbying and Fact Packets for legislators, break into small groups to visit senators, delegates and aides.

9:30-11:45 Lobby General Assembly legislators and their aides. Speaking to aides is just as valuable as speaking with legislators.

12:00 – 12:15 Meet back in Conference Room for clean-up, “debriefing,” and coffee/tea.

While we lobby, several VICFA members will serve continental breakfast to legislators in the conference room, as well as talk to them and give information about our mission and positions. (The continental breakfast won’t be sit-down; legislators will come and go).

Directions to General Assembly follow and are posted on our website, http://www.vicfa.net
