Kathryne Pirtle Treating Acid Reflux, Digestive Disorders and Chronic Pain with Traditional Foods
Kathryne, a world class clarinetist, is no stranger to chronic pain, acid reflux and other serious digestive problems. Having suffered for 25 years from inflammation that challenged her career followed by a life-threatening digestive disorder, she found that poor digestion and malnourishment were at the root of her problems. Her descent into illness and miraculous recovery with traditional foods are documented in her book, Performance without Pain—an indispensable guide that helps people worldwide.
Join her for an eye-opening discussion describing how many of our modern foods and common nutritional dictates may predispose people to chronic inflammatory conditions and a host of digestive ills, and how a diet rich in nutrient-dense, easy-to-digest foods can help heal and build optimal health.

Laura Villanti Gut and Psychology Syndrome
Laura will explain the GAP Syndrome or GAPS, which stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome/ Gut and Physiology Syndrome. She will share how and why learning disabilities and mental problems develop in children and adults with particular emphasis on the role of gut dysbiosis in these conditions. In addition to the well published psychological and neurological disorders, there will be an explanation of autoimmune problems, allergies, asthma, eczema, MS, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic cystitis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic skin problems and many other physical conditions. This session will not only explain how these conditions stem from an imbalance in the gut, but will also explain the GAPS Nutritional protocol. The GAPS Nutritional Protocol is highly successful in helping those with learning disabilities, other mental problems and the many physiological issues listed above. This session is based on the work of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, MD and her book Gut and Psychology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression and Schizophrenia.
