The Pest Management Regulatory Agency is proposing to double, triple, or almost quadruple the allowable glyphosate-based herbicides (Roundup®) in oats, bran, nuts, and beans.
You have only until July 20 to say NO!
These proposals would:
- Increase the herbicide contamination on nuts and legumes conventionally grown in Canada or imported.
- Increase the risk for human and animal illness, including bees.
- Contaminate the soil with increased mycotoxins (moulds) that can affect other crops like wheat.

Talking Points
- Glyphosate depletes the beneficial human gut bacteria and is associated with inflammatory bowel disease and increasing rates of bowel cancer.

- The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) found glyphosate is a probable human carcinogen, particularly associated with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

- Glyphosate-based herbicides potentially affect bee microbes and contribute to decline of bee populations.
- Many common breakfast cereals already test higher than the 1993 Environmental Protection Agency limits.

Madeline Rageas says
To increase pesticides is so harmful to human health. It destroys the natural balance of bacteria in the gut. So wrong to do this, it increases diseases such as cancer.
