VACCINATION FREEDOM ACTIVIST CAMPAIGN
Right now our most important focus is the many proposed laws to take away our freedom to opt out of vaccinations. This legislative season saw a record-breaking 110 bills introduced in over 35 states across the country regarding vaccinations, most of which would restrict or eliminate vaccine exemptions or mandate more vaccines. We are sending Action Alerts to various states as these laws come up for a vote, thanks to the help of Leslie Manookian, producer of the film The Greater Good.
The good news is that we have defeated measure to restrict our freedoms in NC, OR, WA, NV, NM and MD. We still have battles in NJ, TX, CA, MI and VT, among other states. We are most grateful for feedback from our members, telling us that they have contacted their legislators to protest these proposed bills.

DRAFT PROPOSAL FOR THE NEW 2015 DIETARY GUIDELINES
Deadline for comments has been EXTENDED to May 8, 2015!
The federal Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee has released its draft proposal for the new 2015 Dietary Guidelines, and they go even further than the previous ones in attacking nutritious foods like full-fat dairy, red meat, and any food with saturated fat.
The Dietary Guidelines form the basis of federal nutrition policy and food assistance programs, so the effects can be very far-reaching.
The federal agencies in charge of the Guidelines (Health & Human Services and the USDA) are accepting public comments on the draft. Groups with vegan agendas are already rallying their supporters to promote the move to “plant-based diets” and urge the agencies to go even further by discouraging the consumption of eggs and all dairy products. We need to make sure that their voices are not the only ones in this debate. FOR DETAILS ON ACTION TO TAKE SEE:

If you send in six new memberships in one package, we will give you one year’s membership free. Michelle Collins, Titusville, FL Chapter Leader said: “The membership drive is such an excellent way to incentivize us to take a few extra moments to strategize on spreading the excellent work of WAPF. I embraced Sally Fallon’s challenge to chapter leaders to bring in 10 new members! I looked at my Christmas list and said, ‘Who on my list would benefit more from the valuable information of the Weston A. Price Foundation than from anything I could buy in a store?’ and I decided everyone on my list could! I challenge you to evaluate your Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Birthday, Mother’s, Father’s, Grandparent’s Day, and even New Year’s Day lists and see who might benefit more from a Wise Traditions subscription.”

RECOVERY FROM MODERN DIETS – RECENT POSTS
Can broth help us maintain a perfect weight? A new study from Brazil suggests that glutamine could help us build a healthy microbiome with the kinds of bacteria found in people of normal weight. While this news will surely drive supplement sales, Dr. Kaayla Daniel points out that glutamine is a “conditionally essential amino acid” found abundantly in bone broth. http://www.westonaprice.org/ uncategorized/can-broth-help- us-maintain-a-healthy-weight- a-study-on-glutamine-and-the- microbiome-suggests-it/
So many of our young men are growing breasts that the word “moobs” — short for man boobs”— has entered the popular vocabulary. Environmental estrogens are a factor, says Dr. Kaayla Daniel, but so is soy. http://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/moobs-man-boobs-and-soy-2/
MOTHER NATURE OBEYED – RECENT POST
Did Cod Liver Oil Contribute to the Historical Decline in Measles Mortality and Mortality From Other Infectious Diseases?
Measles has been in the news a lot lately. It therefore seems timely to fulfill my now more than two-year-old promise to write a blog on the possibility and evidence that cod liver oil may have contributed to the historical decline in mortality from measles and other infectious diseases.
