
Savory and sweet, these beef breakfast sausages are flavored with organic spices and a touch of low-glycemic coconut sugar. Ingredients
- 2 lbs 100% grass-fed ground beef
- 2 tsp unrefined sea salt
- crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp sage
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp fennel
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar

- Measure out all spices, salt and pepper, and coconut sugar into a small bowl and stir until mixed well.
- Massage spice mix into ground beef in a large bowl until well combined. If time allows, let the mixture sit overnight in the fridge to let the flavors integrate. Cover your bowl with compostable cling wrap.
- Heat a cast iron skillet on medium heat. Cook sausages on medium heat until browned on all sides and fully cooked. This should take several minutes per turn. When cooked through, remove sausages from heat and place in a glass storage container. Continue this process until all sausages have been cooked. Store in fridge.
- If freezing breakfast sausages, place each sausage on an unbleached parchment lined baking sheet* and freeze for several hours. Then, transfer to a storage container and keep frozen until you need them. When ready to eat, place frozen breakfast sausages in a heated pan and let cook for several minutes until hot. Serve and enjoy!
