We have a really neat event coming up on October 4th which many of you may be interested in. Here are the details:
Fall Gathering at Oylers Organic Farms
Who? Everyone interested in improving their health and/or overcoming health issues
When? Saturday October 4th, 10-4
Where? Oylers Organic Farms, 400 Pleasant Valley Rd. Biglerville, PA
How much? Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $3.00 for kids 5-17
Details: Sarah Ballantyne PhD, author of the NYTimes best seller list The Paleo Approach will talk to us about how the foods we eat affect our bodies and how a WAP-friendly Paleo diet can reverse autoimmune disease and improve overall health. She will explain the core physiology of how the immune system works and how food affects this.
Bob “The Bikeman” Swaim will bring a large part of his huge collection of human-powered transportation machines and other mind-and-body-empowering devices to both delight and encourage us.
The Little Sisters Band, a local quartet, will entertain us with their gospel and bluegrass music.
We will have a variety of vendors including Wild for Salmon with their summer catch of wild Alaskan salmon. and many local foods providers and other resources. (If you are interested in exhibiting, there is a link to reserve a table on the website.) So bring your coolers and your re-usable bags to fill up with local, sustainable goods!
