Hawaii lawmakers are considering legislation that would affirm and protect the right of individuals to make autonomous medical decisions without discrimination, coercion, or exclusion by public or private entities.
HB 2512 would codify broad medical freedom protections, ensuring that no person is denied services, employment, admission, or benefits based on their choices regarding medical interventions, including vaccines, tests, devices, or treatments.
HB 2512 is a strong step toward defending individual rights, informed consent, and freedom of medical choice for all Hawaiians — especially in light of recent years where mandates and health rules were imposed during declared emergencies.
Please act TODAY and urge your legislators to SUPPORT HB 2512.

“Hello, my name is ___ and I’m a constituent. I’m calling to urge Representative ___ to SUPPORT HB 2512.
This bill is important to me because people should be able to make their own medical decisions without fear of discrimination, coercion, or being excluded from employment, services, or public life based on those decisions.
Informed consent and personal autonomy are essential to ethical healthcare and trust in the medical system.
Please support HB 2512 and protect medical freedom in Hawaii.
Thank you.”
TALKING POINTS
- The Covid-19 response showed how easily informed consent can be replaced by coercion. Millions were pressured to take vaccines under threat of job loss, exclusion, or loss of access to services. Laws protecting medical freedom are essential to ensure this never happens again—for Covid-19 or any future vaccine.
- As of 1/30/2026, there were 2,709,593 adverse events and 50,350 deaths reported to the federal Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS). Vaccines, just like all pharmaceutical products, carry a risk of injury and even death.
- People differ in genetics, immune function, and health history—factors that can influence how any medical product, including vaccines, affects them, underscoring the importance of personal choice and medical autonomy.
- Vaccine manufacturers are largely shielded from liability for injuries caused by their products under federal law, leaving families with limited recourse if a child or adult is harmed. These liability protections create a system where accountability is minimized, while individuals and families bear the full risk, proving that the so-called ‘safety guarantees’ for vaccines are misleading and incomplete.
- Vaccine formulations include a variety of substances, such as metal salts (e.g., aluminum), preservatives, stabilizers, and residual manufacturing materials. These ingredients—like formaldehyde, polysorbate compounds, and foreign DNA and proteins—are associated with allergic reactions, neurotoxic effects, and immune system dysfunction.
- Mandatory vaccines and other medical policies undermine basic human rights and bodily autonomy. The right to decide what enters one’s body is a fundamental freedom protected in ethical medical practice and international norms. Imposing vaccines by law or policy erodes this core liberty and sets a precedent for further government intrusion into personal decision-making.
- Freedom of medical choice builds trust in healthcare. When individuals know their rights are protected, they are more likely to engage constructively with healthcare providers.
