Raw milk, currently legal to buy in Pennsylvania, is
at risk. Even though you don’t live in Pennsylvania, it
is critical to keep raw milk legal in the states where it
can be sold (not to mention the fact that we’d like to
see it legal nationwide!). Every state that tightens
existing regulations provides a blueprint for California
and other states to take raw dairy off the shelves and
out of our kitchens.
Please participate if so moved!
Thank you very much,
Victoria
Subject: PENNSYLVANIA RAW MILK REGULATIONS
Dear _________,
Late this fall the Division of Milk Sanitation of the Bureau of Food
Safety of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is due to
overhaul regulations regarding the sale of raw milk. We fear that
there is an intent to close existing “loopholes” that allow raw-milk
sales.
Because we love raw milk and it helps us feel better and healthier,
please ensure that raw milk continues to be a choice for us and
our health. In fact, because of the proved safety of raw milk over
pasteurized milk, we look forward to greater availability of raw
milk and other raw dairy products like butter and yogurt. We
hope you choose to protect our rights as consumers to purchase
raw dairy, especially from farmers we trust. And, please help
ensure the livelihood of the small independent farmers who produce
the raw dairy for us.
Thank you for your special attention to this important health issue.
Sincerely,
(Your name;
If you live in Pennsylvania, add your address.)
