War on Meat: Alpha-gal Syndrome

Here we have another red pill from Dr. Sam Bailey, and we are down another rabbit hole getting to the bottom of alpha-gal syndrome. What the heck is that? As Dr. Bailey cleverly points out, it has nothing to do with feminism. The scientific high priesthood of ultimate truth would have us believe that there is a new syndrome out there caused by a combination of meat, tick bites and climate change.
We’ve been eating meat for thousands of years, and I’m pretty sure ticks have been biting us for a similar length of time. Climate has been changing for as long as we have had a climate. Climate has been both warmer and colder in the last couple thousand years than it is now. There is nothing new going on here. So, I guess what the scientists are saying is that, after thousands of years of exposure, we have become allergic to our food and our environment.
These same people tell us that in 2010, beef alone was responsible for 25 percent of food-related greenhouse gas emissions. Let’s break that sentence down and notice how little it actually says. What percentage of our atmosphere is polluted by “greenhouse gas emissions”? And what percentage of that is food-related? The greenhouse gas that gets the most air time, so to speak, is carbon dioxide. I have a CO2 meter that tells me that CO2 levels are a little over 400 ppm—that’s parts per million. If you convert that into a percentage, you will have a decimal point followed by a bunch of zeroes before you get to a non-zero number. And then cows are a fraction of that. Again, cows have been around a long time, so I’m not sure why they are suddenly a problem.
But it gets better. Here’s a quote: “Due to difficulties with diagnosis, the CDC says that up to 450,000 Americans in total may have developed meat allergies due to alpha-gal.” Maybe I’m not supposed to notice this, but the first part of that quote basically says they don’t know what they are talking about, but they are going to go ahead and scare us anyway by telling us that our traditional food may be bad for us. How do we know alpha-gal exists? Because we are allergic to meat. Why are we allergic to meat? Because we have alpha-gal.
By this reasoning, I can safely conclude that I have a genetic defect called anti-unicornism that makes it impossible for me to believe this unicorn science. How do I know I have this genetic defect? Because I don’t believe the unicorn science. Why don’t I believe? Because I have a genetic defect. So there.
Other things are thrown in to muddy the waters. Researchers like to use Jimmy Dean sausage to generate evidence against meat. I have a friend who has a secret burger recipe that includes Jimmy Dean. It is quite tasty, and I have eaten several of those burgers with no ill effects (so far). So, yes, Jimmy Dean is a meat-like substance, but it contains a wad of ingredients that I wouldn’t want to eat on a regular basis. Any ill effects that do result from eating Jimmy Dean prove nothing about real meat. Many good points are made in this video, and the thumb is UP. So there.
