Speak up for a good bill in the Kansas legislature that prohibits vaccine discrimination.
SB 390 would prohibit any employer, healthcare institution, school, or individual from engaging in discrimination or implementing adverse actions based on an individual’s decision to refuse a certain vaccine or medical treatment.
This “Conscientious Right to Refuse Act” would allow individuals the right to refuse any vaccination, biologic, pharmaceutical, drug, gene editing technology, DNA- or RNA-based product.
SB 390 additionally permits a prevailing plaintiff to be eligible for damages related to any violations.
The Weston A. Price Foundation supports this bill because it allows individuals to choose whether or not to take any vaccine and prohibits entities from treating someone differently based on their vaccination status.
A suggested amendment to the bill is to repeal other dangerous laws currently in effect, such as 65-129b, which allows local health officers to isolate anyone who refuses vaccination, medical examination, treatment, or testing. Since there are other similarly alarming statutes in place, it would be best if SB 390 also had a prevailing clause that would guarantee the new law passed through this bill would supersede any conflicts with previously passed laws.
SB 390 was rereferred to the Senate Committee on Public Health and Welfare on 2/28/2024.

Vaccine manufacturers such as Pfizer, Merck, and GlaxoSmithKline have paid billions of dollars in criminal penalties and settlements for research fraud, faking drug safety studies, failing to report safety problems, bribery, kickbacks, and false advertising [1,2]. Pfizer paid $2.3 billion in 2009 alone to resolve criminal and civil allegations [3].
